Overview

MVR-T7012 is an investigational **genetically engineered oncolytic herpes simplex virus** developed by **ImmVira** for **solid tumors**. It is part of the MVR-T7 series and is designed to infect tumor tissue and drive membrane expression of the extracellular domains of **CD19** and **Trop-2** on solid tumor cells, thereby creating actionable targets for otherwise hematologic-oriented cellular therapies such as CAR-T. The vector is also reported to encode **CCL5**, a **PD-1 blocking antibody**, and **IL-12**, aiming to improve T-cell trafficking, relieve checkpoint-mediated immunosuppression, and enhance local antitumor immune activation in addition to direct oncolysis. Publicly available information indicates that the program was in **preclinical or IND-enabling development** for solid tumors, with pilot-scale manufacturing and pharmacology toxicology work described for potential U.S. and China IND filings.
