**MVSTr** is an investigational, donor-derived multivirus-specific T-cell therapy developed by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for prophylaxis of viral reactivation after T-cell-depleted allogeneic hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation. The personalized allogeneic product is generated from the transplant donor's peripheral blood mononuclear cells using dendritic cells or antigen-presenting cells pulsed with overlapping peptide libraries representing immunodominant antigens from cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus, adenovirus, and BK polyomavirus. The expanded polyclonal T-cell product is intended to restore antiviral cellular immunity early after transplantation, enabling recognition and cytolytic elimination of virus-infected cells before clinically significant viral reactivation or disease occurs.
