MVT-101 (also known as NanoBlate or Solv) is an investigational phase-shift microbubble (PSMB) or nanobubble formulation developed by Microvascular Therapeutics in partnership with the University of Utah. It is designed for use in combination with focused ultrasound (FUS) or magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) to perform non-thermal tumor ablation and localized blood-brain barrier (BBB) opening for the treatment of brain cancer (such as gliomas). Additionally, MVT-101 is being evaluated for sonothrombolysis to treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), where the sub-micron droplets permeate blood clots and, upon ultrasound activation, undergo phase transition and cavitation to restore blood flow.
