Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVT-201 is a preclinical, orally administered, live biotherapeutic product developed by Microviable Therapeutics. [3] It consists of a complete, purified gut microbiota ecosystem derived from donors, manufactured using a proprietary process (HPM®) that preserves high bacterial diversity and richness while removing non-microbial fecal components. [2, 3] It is being developed as a bacterial immunotherapy to modulate the gut microbiome for multiple indications, including infectious diseases caused by multidrug-resistant organisms (such as recurrent urinary tract infections), colorectal cancer, and as an adjuvant to enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy in solid tumors.
