Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVX #205 is a self-amplifying replicon RNA (repRNA) vaccine candidate being developed by MalarVx, in collaboration with HDT Bio, for the prevention of malaria. The vaccine utilizes HDT Bio's proprietary Lipid InOrganic Nanocarrier (LION) formulation to deliver repRNA encoding the circumsporozoite protein (CSP) of Plasmodium falciparum. This platform is designed to enhance vaccine stability, simplify manufacturing, and elicit robust humoral and cellular immune responses, including liver-resident memory CD8+ T cells, to provide long-lasting protection against malaria. MVX #205 is currently in IND-enabling development.
