Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MVX-800 is a conditionally activated small molecule drug conjugate (CA-SMDC) being developed by MaveriX Oncology for the treatment of metastatic cancers, specifically metastatic breast cancer (mBC). The platform utilizes a proprietary linker system designed to release a camptothecin analog payload—a potent topoisomerase I inhibitor—selectively within the tumor microenvironment. By restricting the release of the cytotoxic agent to the tumor site, MVX-800 aims to improve the safety profile and therapeutic window compared to traditional systemic chemotherapies. The program is currently in the IND-enabling preclinical phase.
