Overview

MVX0007 is a Phase I clinical trial identifier and program designation associated with MinervaX's GBS-NN/NN2 (GBS-AlpN) vaccine, a novel recombinant protein subunit vaccine developed for the prevention of Group B Streptococcus (GBS) infections. The vaccine is primarily designed for maternal immunization to transfer protective IgG antibodies to the fetus, thereby preventing life-threatening neonatal GBS infections such as sepsis, pneumonia, and meningitis. It consists of two fusion proteins: GBS-NN (containing the N-terminal domains of Rib and AlphaC surface proteins) and GBS-NN2 (containing the N-terminal domains of Alp1 and Alp2/3 surface proteins), which together cover the vast majority of clinical GBS isolates. The vaccine is adjuvanted with aluminum hydroxide and administered via intramuscular injection.
