Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MWTX-05 is a first-in-class biotherapeutic being developed by Mabwell Therapeutics for the treatment of a specific subtype of congenital myasthenic syndrome (CMS). The drug leverages Mabwell's proprietary MyoDock™ neuromuscular junction (NMJ)-targeted delivery platform, which enables direct delivery and concentration of the therapeutic at the NMJ. This precision-targeting approach is designed to increase local drug exposure, enhance efficacy, and reduce off-target side effects typically associated with conventional systemic administration. The program is currently in the discovery phase, with lead candidates identified and being evaluated for efficacy in animal models. The specific molecular target and active ingredient have not been publicly disclosed.
