Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MWTX-06 is a first-in-class bifunctional therapeutic being developed by Mabwell Therapeutics for the treatment of various muscle-wasting and neuromuscular disorders. Developed using the proprietary MyoDock™ platform, MWTX-06 features a dual mechanism of action designed to simultaneously stimulate muscle growth and enhance neuromuscular junction (NMJ) function. This approach aims to address both the physical degeneration of muscle tissue and the underlying signaling dysfunction between nerves and muscles. The drug is currently in the discovery stage for a broad range of indications, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), myotonic dystrophy, facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), and disuse-induced muscle atrophy.
