Overview

MWX203 S6 (also referred to as MWX203 or MWX-203) is an investigational small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic developed by Shanghai Minwei Biotechnology, a subsidiary of Lepu Medical Technology. It is designed to target angiopoietin-like 3 (ANGPTL3) to treat lipid disorders, including hyperlipidemia, dyslipidemia, and complex dyslipidemia. By utilizing RNA interference (RNAi) to silence ANGPTL3 expression, MWX203 aims to lower serum triglycerides and cholesterol levels. The drug is administered subcutaneously and is currently in Phase 2 clinical development in China, both as a monotherapy and in combination with other lipid-lowering therapies like inclisiran.
