Overview

MXE 2050 is a myxobacterial metabolite identified through a screening process for potential therapeutic effects in Parkinson's disease. It has been shown to increase cell growth rate, promote regeneration of cells from a Parkinson's mouse model following acute lesions, and reduce the levels of proteins associated with endoplasmic reticulum stress and apoptotic cell death.
