MY004 is a selective small molecule inhibitor of Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2) developed by Createrna Development for the treatment of various autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. TYK2 is a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) family that mediates signaling for several key cytokines, including IL-12, IL-23, and Type I interferons, which are central to the pathogenesis of conditions such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and rheumatoid arthritis. By specifically targeting TYK2, MY004 aims to provide therapeutic efficacy while potentially offering a superior safety profile compared to non-selective JAK inhibitors by avoiding the inhibition of JAK2 and JAK3, which are associated with hematological and lipid abnormalities. The drug is currently in Phase 2 clinical development for multiple indications, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and IgA nephropathy.
