Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This preclinical-stage gut microbiome therapy is being developed through a collaboration between Galmed Pharmaceuticals and MyBiotics Pharma for the treatment of nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and liver fibrosis. The therapy leverages MyBiotics' proprietary SuperDonor technology and MyLiveIn computational AI platform to identify and optimize specific bacterial consortia designed to reconstitute the gut flora of NASH patients. Positioned as an alternative to fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), the therapy aims to alter the gut microbial composition and function to impact the underlying pathology of NASH and associated fibrosis.
