Mycosinate

Mycosinate (formerly known as compound A31S) is a topical antifungal formulation developed by HemCon Medical Technologies for the treatment of onychomycosis (fungal nail infections). The product utilizes a proprietary controlled-release platform technology to deliver a broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent directly into and through the nail plate. In independent ex vivo studies using fungal-infected human nails, the formulation demonstrated the ability to completely eradicate *Trichophyton rubrum* infections in less than 14 days. Its performance has been characterized as favorable when compared to established antifungal treatments such as terbinafine, amorolfine, and ciclopirox. Following the acquisition of HemCon by Tricol International Group in 2016, the further clinical development of this specific formulation has not been widely publicized.
