MYD-0124 is an investigational *in vivo* chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) therapy developed by Myeloid Therapeutics. It utilizes a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery system to transport mRNA encoding a CAR specifically to myeloid cells, such as monocytes and macrophages, within the patient's body. Once the mRNA is taken up, these myeloid cells express the CAR, which is designed to recognize and bind to Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 2 (HER2) on the surface of cancer cells. This approach aims to reprogram the tumor microenvironment from an immunosuppressive state to an immunostimulatory one, facilitating the destruction of solid tumors. By targeting myeloid cells *in vivo*, MYD-0124 seeks to overcome the logistical and biological challenges associated with traditional *ex vivo* T-cell CAR therapies, particularly in the context of solid tumors.
