MyDcA-IL12 is an autologous dendritic cell-based vaccine developed by Masaryk University (Masarykova Univerzita). The therapy involves harvesting patient-derived monocytes, which are then differentiated into monocyte-derived dendritic cells (MoDCs). These cells are pulsed with autologous tumor lysate, providing a broad spectrum of patient-specific tumor antigens, and are genetically modified via electroporation with mRNA to transiently produce Interleukin-12 (IL-12). IL-12 is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine that promotes Th1-type immune responses and enhances the cytotoxic activity of CD8+ T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. This investigational product is primarily targeted at pediatric patients with high-risk, progressive, recurrent, or metastatic solid tumors, such as neuroblastoma and various sarcomas, aiming to overcome tumor-induced immunosuppression and elicit a robust anti-tumor immune response.
