Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Myfemella is a dietary supplement developed by biosyn Arzneimittel GmbH, specifically formulated to support bladder health. It features a quadruple combination of active ingredients: sporebiotics (*Bacillus subtilis natto* and *Bacillus coagulans*), cranberry extract (500 mg), goldenrod extract (6 mg), and lactoferrin (100 mg). The sporebiotics are bacterial cultures in spore form, which provide high stability against stomach acid, ensuring they reach the intestines effectively to modulate the microbiome. Cranberry extract is included for its proanthocyanidins, which are traditionally used to inhibit bacterial adhesion in the urinary tract, while goldenrod extract provides diuretic and anti-inflammatory support. Lactoferrin, an iron-binding protein, acts as an antimicrobial agent by sequestering iron required for bacterial growth. It is marketed as a vegetarian, lactose-free, and gluten-free tablet available over-the-counter in German pharmacies.
