Overview

MYJ1633 is an autologous natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by the South Korean biotechnology company IMMUNISBIO. The therapy is produced by isolating NK cells from a patient's peripheral blood, which are then expanded and activated ex vivo using a proprietary process to enhance their anti-tumor cytotoxicity. Once re-infused into the patient, these activated NK cells target and eliminate cancer cells through direct cell lysis and the induction of apoptosis. MYJ1633 was commercialized in 2018 for the treatment of various solid tumors, including stomach, lung, and colorectal cancers. IMMUNISBIO is also developing specialized variants of the platform, such as MYJ1633-BCS for HER2-positive breast cancer and MYJ1633-SCSa for peritoneal metastasis in gastrointestinal cancers.
