Overview

**MYL-1401A** is a recombinant human IgG1 monoclonal antibody biosimilar to adalimumab (Humira), developed by Biocon and originally partnered with Mylan (now part of Viatris). It functions as a tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) inhibitor, binding to TNFα to prevent activation of TNF receptors, thereby downregulating inflammatory responses in autoimmune conditions. Primary evaluations have focused on rheumatoid arthritis (Phase III) and plaque psoriasis (Phase III, with efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics data released), administered subcutaneously as an injectable therapy.[1][3][5][14]
