Overview

MYL-1402O is a biosimilar to bevacizumab, a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that targets vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). By binding to VEGF-A, it inhibits angiogenesis—the formation of new blood vessels—thereby restricting tumor growth and metastasis. MYL-1402O has demonstrated bioequivalence in pharmacokinetics, efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity compared to reference bevacizumab (Avastin) in clinical trials for advanced cancers such as non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (nsNSCLC). It is developed through a partnership between Biocon Biologics and Mylan.
