Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Myo-404 is an orally administered small molecule mitochondrial metabolism modulator under development by MitoRx Therapeutics. It is specifically designed to treat obesity and broader cardiometabolic diseases by targeting mitochondrial pathways to restore metabolic health. Unlike traditional weight-loss medications that primarily target appetite through the central nervous system or gut hormones, Myo-404 aims to directly influence cellular energy expenditure and metabolic efficiency. It is currently in the early stages of development as part of MitoRx's pipeline of mitochondrial-targeted therapeutics, which also includes an injectable program, Myo-006.
