Myo-P3 is an investigational encapsulated cell therapy developed by Release Therapeutics for the treatment of advanced melanoma. The therapy utilizes the company's proprietary Encapsulation Cell Technology (ECT), which consists of genetically engineered cells housed within a semi-permeable polymer capsule. These cells are designed to continuously produce and secrete an anti-CTLA-4 monoclonal antibody directly into the patient's system. By providing a steady, long-term release of the checkpoint inhibitor, Myo-P3 aims to maintain therapeutic levels of the drug while potentially minimizing the peak-related toxicities and dosing frequency associated with traditional intravenous administrations of CTLA-4 inhibitors like ipilimumab.
