MyoAmplifier is a muscle-specific gene therapy platform and therapeutic candidate developed by MyoGene Bio, primarily targeting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The technology utilizes a proprietary synthetic promoter (the MyoAmplifier) designed to drive high-level, specific expression of therapeutic transgenes—such as dystrophin or CRISPR/Cas9 components—within skeletal and cardiac muscle tissues while minimizing off-target expression in the liver and other organs. By enhancing the potency of the viral vector (typically AAV), MyoAmplifier aims to allow for lower systemic doses, thereby reducing potential toxicity and improving the safety profile of gene therapies for neuromuscular diseases. The lead program, MG-N001, leverages this platform to restore functional dystrophin levels in patients with DMD.
