Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MyoGel is an injectable biomaterial scaffold developed by GenAssist for muscle regeneration, specifically targeting pelvic floor disorders. It is an injectable formulation of the company's proprietary MyoMatrix technology, which utilizes a patented scaffold composed of natural extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins. MyoGel is designed to be delivered via a minimally invasive injection using a pre-loaded syringe; once inside the body, it maintains a gel-like consistency at body temperature to provide structural support and biological signaling to damaged muscle tissue. Its primary clinical application is to strengthen the pelvic floor and reduce the incidence of pelvic organ prolapse, particularly following childbirth, by assisting in the repair of muscle defects.
