Myolax

Myolax is a branded generic version of tizanidine, a centrally acting muscle relaxant manufactured by Omnica Laboratories in Nepal. As a small molecule $\alpha_2$-adrenergic agonist, it is structurally related to clonidine and functions primarily at the spinal and supraspinal levels. Its mechanism involves the inhibition of excitatory interneurons, which subsequently reduces the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. Myolax is indicated for the symptomatic management of spasticity resulting from multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, or spinal cord disease, and is also used to treat painful muscle spasms. It is produced in 2 mg and 4 mg oral tablet formulations.
