Overview

Myospas is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing chlorzoxazone (250 mg) and paracetamol (500 mg), designed for the treatment of pain associated with muscle spasms and various musculoskeletal conditions. Chlorzoxazone is a centrally-acting muscle relaxant that works by inhibiting multisynaptic reflex arcs at the spinal cord and subcortical levels, primarily through the enhancement of GABAergic neurotransmission. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) serves as an analgesic and antipyretic by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, particularly within the central nervous system. Together, these components provide synergistic relief for conditions such as back pain, neck pain, sprains, and joint pain associated with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.
