Myrialen

Myrialen is a branded sterile ophthalmic gel medical device containing 5% dexpanthenol, used to hydrate, lubricate, and protect the corneal and conjunctival epithelium in patients with dry eye, ocular irritation, burning, or foreign body sensation due to environmental or other noninfectious causes.[1][3][4][7] Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) is converted in ocular tissues to pantothenic acid, a component of coenzyme A involved in epithelial metabolism and repair, supporting corneal surface healing and maintaining tear film stability.[1][3][4] The gel vehicle (with carbomer and excipients) prolongs residence time on the ocular surface, providing sustained symptom relief, and Myrialen has been evaluated in a randomized clinical investigation versus another 5% dexpanthenol gel (Recugel) in patients with moderate to severe dry eye syndrome.[3][5][13][14]
