Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Myrrhinil-Intest** is an oral traditional herbal medicinal product developed and manufactured by Repha for supportive treatment of gastrointestinal disorders with nonspecific diarrhea accompanied by mild cramping and flatulence. Each coated tablet contains myrrh 100 mg, coffee charcoal 50 mg, and chamomile flower dry extract 70 mg. The heterogeneous botanical combination has antidiarrheal, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, adsorptive, and intestinal barrier-stabilizing activities, although it has no single validated molecular target. It has been evaluated in a completed Phase IV ulcerative-colitis remission-maintenance study and is being studied in a placebo-controlled Phase IV trial in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome.
