N-1T1C8Ab is an engineered monoclonal antibody designed to target Nectin cell adhesion molecule 4 (Nectin4). While Nectin4 is a well-established target in oncology, N-1T1C8Ab is being investigated for its potential therapeutic application in asthma. In preclinical murine models, the antibody has demonstrated the ability to modulate pulmonary inflammation, decrease airway resistance, and reduce the infiltration of immune cells into bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. Mechanistically, N-1T1C8Ab inhibits the expression of the IL-33/ST2/IL-1RAcP signaling complex and suppresses the activated IRAK signaling pathway, thereby reducing the production of inflammatory cytokines and alleviating histological signs of asthma such as goblet cell hyperplasia and fibrosis.
