N-acetyl-GED-0507-34-LEVO

N-acetyl-GED-0507-34-LEVO (NAC-GED) is a small molecule selective modulator of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma (PPARγ) being developed by PPM Services S.A. for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Formulated as a 5% gel, the drug works by inducing sebocyte differentiation, improving sebum composition, and controlling the inflammatory process associated with acne. It is considered a potential first-in-class treatment and has demonstrated significant efficacy in Phase IIb trials, showing a substantial reduction in total lesion counts and improved Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) success rates. The drug is currently undergoing Phase III clinical evaluation in studies such as GEDACNE-1, GEDACNE-2, and the long-term safety study GEDACNE-LT.
