Drug intelligence / Profile preview
N-ETSD is a modified SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid (N) protein antigen, specifically an Enhanced T-cell Stimulation Domain. It is designed to enhance T-cell stimulation by directing the N antigen to the endosomal/lysosomal compartment, thereby increasing its potential for presentation via MHC class I and II pathways. N-ETSD is a key component of a dual-antigen COVID-19 vaccine, hAd5-S-Fusion+N-ETSD, which utilizes a human adenovirus serotype 5 platform to deliver both the modified N protein and a modified spike (S-Fusion) protein to elicit robust cellular immune responses.
