Overview

**N-phenyl pyrazoline-2** is a *synthetic small molecule* from the pyrazoline derivative family, specifically a 2-pyrazoline substituted with a phenyl group at the nitrogen. It has been experimentally investigated for its *anticancer activity*, particularly against cervical cancer (HeLa) cells. The most studied variant, often called "pyrazoline 2" or "P2," and closely related derivatives exhibit cytotoxic activity, strongly inhibiting cell proliferation, colony formation, migration, and cancer stem cell-like properties via inhibition of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) pathway. Molecular docking and in vitro studies support that N-phenyl pyrazoline-2 targets EGFR, suppressing cell viability and migration, suggesting potential as a lead compound for anticancer drug development, notably for solid tumors such as cervical, breast, and colorectal cancer[1][3].
