Drug intelligence / Profile preview
N-Shine NT is a fixed-dose combination tablet manufactured by Healthon Lifesciences, primarily used for the treatment of neuropathic pain. It integrates three active components: Pregabalin (75mg), Nortriptyline (10mg), and Methylcobalamin (1500mcg). Pregabalin acts as an alpha-2-delta ligand, binding to voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system to reduce the release of excitatory neurotransmitters. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and, to a lesser extent, serotonin, thereby enhancing descending inhibitory pain pathways. Methylcobalamin, a form of Vitamin B12, serves as a cofactor in the synthesis of methionine and supports the regeneration of the myelin sheath, promoting nerve repair. This triple-action formulation addresses pain signaling, mood regulation, and structural nerve health.
