NA-841

NA-841 is an investigational small-molecule drug developed by Biomed Industries, Inc. (also known as NeuroActiva) for the treatment of Huntington's disease (HD). It is designed as an oral, once-daily tablet that selectively reduces the levels of both normal and mutant huntingtin (HTT) protein, the underlying cause of neurodegeneration in HD. In addition to lowering HTT levels, NA-841 is intended to enhance neuroprotection and stimulate neurogenesis to mitigate neurodegeneration and restore neuromuscular and cognitive functions. Following a Phase 1 study that demonstrated safety and dose-dependent reductions in huntingtin protein, the drug is advancing into Phase 2 clinical trials to further evaluate its efficacy and long-term outcomes.
