nabumab

Nabumab (also known by the code name SG001) is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that functions as a biosimilar to the immune checkpoint inhibitor nivolumab. It is designed to target the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on the surface of T cells. By blocking the interaction between PD-1 and its ligands, PD-L1 and PD-L2, nabumab prevents the down-regulation of T-cell activity, thereby enhancing the body's immune response against malignant tumors. The drug has been primarily developed and evaluated in clinical trials led by the Center for Clinical Pharmacology at the Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University, in collaboration with CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. It is currently being investigated for the treatment of various advanced solid tumors.
