Overview

**Nadorameran** is an investigational mRNA-based prophylactic vaccine developed by CureVac using proprietary RNActive® technology. It encodes the rabies virus glycoprotein (RABV-G), instructing host cells to produce this antigen to elicit neutralizing antibodies against rabies virus. As the first mRNA drug substance assigned an International Nonproprietary Name (INN) by WHO, it demonstrated safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity in a phase I trial (NCT02241135), inducing boostable functional antibodies via intradermal or intramuscular needle-free injection, marking a proof-of-concept for mRNA vaccines in humans.[1][3][7][13]
