nadunolimab + docetaxel

Nadunolimab + docetaxel is an investigational **combination therapy** consisting of **nadunolimab (CAN04)**, a monoclonal antibody targeting the interleukin-1 receptor accessory protein (IL1RAP), and **docetaxel**, a small molecule taxane chemotherapy. Nadunolimab inhibits both IL-1α and IL-1β signaling, which are implicated in tumor chemoresistance and cancer progression, while docetaxel interferes with microtubule function leading to cancer cell death. Preclinical data suggest that simultaneous inhibition of IL-1α/β with nadunolimab enhances the anti-tumor effects of docetaxel more than IL-1β blockade alone. This combination is being investigated primarily for advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)[1][3]. Nadunolimab is being developed by Cantargia.
