NAI002 is a preclinical small-molecule inhibitor targeting the insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF1R), currently under development by Hangzhou Nain Biotechnology for the treatment of glioblastoma. IGF1R is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor that plays a critical role in cell growth, survival, and transformation. Overexpression or overactivation of the IGF1R signaling pathway is frequently observed in glioblastoma, contributing to tumor proliferation, resistance to apoptosis, and therapy resistance. NAI002 is designed to inhibit IGF1R signaling, potentially offering a targeted therapeutic approach for patients with this aggressive form of brain cancer. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
