Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NAI003 is a preclinical small-molecule drug candidate developed by Hangzhou Nain Biotechnology for the treatment of solid tumors. It targets the PDIA6/IRE1 signaling axis, which is a key component of the unfolded protein response (UPR) pathway. PDIA6 (Protein Disulfide Isomerase Family A Member 6) is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident chaperone that interacts with and regulates the activity of IRE1 (Inositol-requiring enzyme 1), a primary sensor of ER stress. By disrupting this pathway, NAI003 aims to impair the ability of cancer cells to manage protein folding stress, thereby inducing apoptosis and inhibiting tumor growth in stressful microenvironments.
