Overview
NAL6336 is an orally disintegrating film (ODF) formulation of montelukast, developed by NAL Pharmaceutical Group. It acts as a leukotriene receptor antagonist, specifically targeting the cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CysLT1). The drug is being developed for the treatment of respiratory disorders, including asthma and allergic rhinitis. The ODF modality is designed to improve patient compliance and ease of administration compared to traditional oral tablets, particularly in pediatric or geriatric populations who may have difficulty swallowing. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
