Nanbao

Nanbao refers to multiple Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products, most notably the Nan Bao detox capsule (NBDC) and various male sexual health supplements. NBDC is a complex herbal formulation developed for treating methamphetamine addiction, derived from ancient opioid detoxification protocols. It contains ingredients such as *Panax ginseng*, *Astragalus membranaceus*, and *Polygala tenuifolia*. NBDC works by modulating neurotransmitter systems, specifically increasing brain dopamine and serotonin content, and upregulating the expression of dopamine D1 receptors (DRD1) and 5-HT1A receptors (5-HT1AR). It has obtained medical facility preparation authorization in Hunan, China (registration number xiang-z20090939) and is utilized in drug rehabilitation centers. Separately, "Nanbao" or "Nan Bao Capsules" are marketed as dietary supplements for male sexual health, containing ingredients like icariin, pilose antler, and sea-horse.
