Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nandrolone hydrogen sulfate is a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) and a sulfate ester of the endogenous androgen nandrolone (19-nortestosterone). It functions as an agonist of the androgen receptor, promoting anabolic processes such as tissue repair, muscle growth, and bone density maintenance, while demonstrating a milder androgenic profile compared to testosterone. Unlike other common nandrolone esters (such as nandrolone decanoate) which are administered systemically via intramuscular injection, nandrolone sulfate has been primarily utilized topically in ophthalmic formulations (eye drops) to support corneal healing and manage ocular surface injuries.
