Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nanite Therapeutics is developing a non-viral gene therapy for HIV using its proprietary SAYER™ platform. The platform utilizes AI-driven design to create tissue-specific polymer nanoparticles (PNPs) for the delivery of DNA-encoded therapeutics. This specific program delivers DNA that encodes for therapeutic antibodies, enabling durable *in vivo* production of these antibodies to treat or prevent HIV. The project is intended to provide a transformative treatment option, particularly for populations with limited access to medical care. It is supported by a $1.8M grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is currently in preclinical development.
