Overview
Nano-tocotrienols is an oral nano-formulated (liposomal) delivery system of tocotrienols, a subclass of Vitamin E phytonutrients extracted from palm oil. Developed by the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) in collaboration with the University of Malaya, this formulation is available in both liquid and powder forms and is designed to significantly enhance the bioavailability and absorption of tocotrienols compared to standard formulations. Tocotrienols possess potent antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and lipid-lowering properties. Nano-tocotrienols are being evaluated in clinical trials to determine their long-term safety, tolerability, and potential therapeutic benefits as a health supplement in healthy individuals and patients with Type 2 diabetes mellitus.
