Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nano Xsomes is a cord blood-derived exosome product developed by Platinum Biologics, specifically derived from human progenitor endothelial stem cells (hPESCs). These extracellular vesicles are designed to deliver a bioactive cargo of proteins, RNAs, growth factors (such as IGFBP 1, 2, 3, and 6, insulin, growth hormone, PDGF-AA, TGF-β1, and VEGF), and anti-inflammatory cytokines (like IL-1RA) to modulate tissue responses. Marketed for research, cosmetic, and homologous use applications—such as promoting fibroblast proliferation and inducing stem cell migration—the product is available as a lyophilized preparation containing approximately 30 billion exosomes. Notably, Nano Xsomes is not FDA-approved for the treatment of any disease; in 2025, the FDA issued a warning letter to the developer regarding the marketing of Nano Xsomes as an unapproved new drug and unlicensed biological product.
