NanoAZD

NanoAZD is a nanoparticle-based diagnostic imaging agent developed by Jacobson Pharma Group in collaboration with the Nano & Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI). Launched in April 2017, it is designed for the early, pre-clinical detection of Alzheimer's disease. The technology utilizes functionalized nanoparticles that target and bind to amyloid-beta (Aβ) plaques in the brain, serving as a contrast medium for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). By enabling the non-invasive visualization of these pathological hallmarks before the onset of clinical symptoms, NanoAZD aims to facilitate early diagnosis and support the development of new therapeutic interventions. The product received significant recognition, including a Gold Medal at the 45th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
