Drug intelligence / Profile preview
NanoCyclo is a nano-encapsulated formulation of cyclosporin developed for topical administration. It is designed to enhance the delivery and efficacy of cyclosporin, an immunosuppressant drug, in the treatment of inflammatory skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. The nano-encapsulation aims to improve skin penetration, reduce systemic exposure, and potentially minimize side effects compared to conventional formulations. The drug was developed by Immune Pharmaceuticals in collaboration with BioNanoSim and has been in late-stage preclinical development with plans for clinical trials targeting dermatological indications[5][7].
