Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Nanocyn is a hospital-grade, super-oxidized, pH-neutral, water-based disinfectant and sanitizer designed for use on hard, non-porous surfaces. It utilizes patented Microcyn technology based on stabilized hypochlorous acid (HOCl) to rapidly kill a broad spectrum of bacteria (including MRSA and E. coli), viruses (including SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19, Norovirus), fungi (such as Candida auris), and spores (such as Clostridium difficile). The mechanism involves oxidation of microbial membranes leading to cell death and inhibition of DNA replication. It is non-toxic, hypoallergenic, 100% biodegradable, non-corrosive to materials or equipment, requires no safety equipment for use, leaves no hazardous residues or odors behind after application, and is safe for humans and the environment. Approved by regulatory agencies such as the Australian TGA and US EPA for rapid disinfection in healthcare settings including hospitals and public transport environments[2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
