NanoFlu

NanoFlu is a recombinant quadrivalent seasonal influenza vaccine candidate developed by Novavax. It is produced using Novavax's proprietary recombinant protein nanoparticle technology and is formulated with the saponin-based Matrix-M adjuvant. The vaccine is specifically designed to improve immune responses in older adults (aged 65 and older) compared to standard-of-care influenza vaccines. In a pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial, NanoFlu met all primary immunogenicity and safety endpoints, demonstrating non-inferiority to Fluzone Quadrivalent. The vaccine targets the hemagglutinin (HA) proteins of four influenza strains, including two Influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two Influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata).
