NanoFUSE DBM is an FDA‑cleared, malleable, putty‑like composite bone void filler that combines human demineralized bone matrix (DBM) with synthetic 45S5 calcium phosphor‑silicate bioactive glass particles to provide both osteoinductive and osteoconductive (osteopromotive) properties for bone regeneration in orthopedic applications.[1][2][9] The DBM component supplies endogenous bone growth factors and a collagenous scaffold that induce and support osteoblast differentiation, while the bioactive glass rapidly releases calcium, phosphate, sodium, and silica ions to form a hydroxyapatite layer, stimulate osteogenic cell activity, enhance angiogenesis, and provide structural graft containment.[1][3][8] Indicated for filling bony voids or gaps in the extremities and pelvis and, when combined with autograft, as a bone graft extender in posterolateral spinal fusion, NanoFUSE DBM is progressively resorbed and remodeled into host bone and has demonstrated biocompatibility, osteoconductivity, and ectopic osteoinductivity in preclinical studies and a history of safe clinical use.[1][2][5]
